Well it's been awhile but here's issue 2 of Legend of The Shield:

Previously stuff happened.
Anyway Sergent Joe Higgins has a nightmare of the original Shield warning him not to take off his helmet. That just might be important later.

Unfortunately his yelling wakes some people up.

Ya know when you're relying on someone to watch your back in combat you might want to treat them better. Granted no one likes getting woken up early (especially when they have an operation in the morning) but a little respect can go a long way toward not getting shot in the face.
After that Joes' buddy Lt. Devon Hall can't get back to sleep so he decides to wander around a bit.

Why would a file like that be left laying around?
Why would such a file exist? Why wasn't it destroyed?
Why the hell is Lt. Hall going to wait until they get back from the mission to tell Joe?
Why is twitter so popular?
Okay so that last one isn't story related, I got caught up in the moment.
Moving right along...

He seems like a nice trustworthy guy.
After the briefing General Higgins reveals that he knows that Hall knows about him setting up his son.

Well that can't be good for Hall. If only he had some time between finding out and the briefing to tell Joe.
(Also Poor MANN-X.)
The mission starts and all goes well for The Shield. I wonder how Hall is making out.

I don't see why they can't all go together retreating in waves but what the hey.

He's right it is a stupid way to die, but there are worse ways to go. He could get a refrigerator dropped on him.
Meanwhile at the rendezvous point:

Remember that thing that I said might be important later?
Remember that they are still in a combat zone?
WHAT IN THE NAME OF MICKEY WHIPWRECK DOES HE THINK HE'S DOING?
WHY IS HE REMOVING HIS HELMET?
This guy is supposed to be a highly trained solder. Instead he's acting like Private Snafu!
*sigh* Anyway he wants to wait for Devon but McGill won't allow it. He makes a great (and not evil) point that they can't risk 20 lives for one. But then Devon appears as they take off.

So much for him.
The Joe tries to force the helicopter to go back but...

Should have kept your helmet on dumbass.
Next issue The Shield will be played by Lorenzo Lamas.
But before we get to that here are the letters for this issue:

Well what do you folks think so far? has it gotten better? Worse? Did I squander my money?
